The theater is a magical world, both for the actors and for the audience. The sets and costumes play a role in the development of the project. But what hardly anyone observes, but is the most important, is the makeup of the actors, which is of great importance, as there seems to age, mood and range wants to give the actor the role plays.
This project deals with the theatrical makeup from antiquity to today, where they have come major developments in terms of products used in order to give the best result.
Then, beyond history and products used from then until today, will be presented all the techniques used for this purpose, and the skills required by a professional psymithiologos to do the job properly set selected

| Abstract: | Το θέατρο είναι ένας μαγευτικός κόσμος, τόσο για τους ηθοποιούς όσο και για τους θεατές. Τα σκηνικά και τα κουστούμια παίζουν έναν ρόλο για την εξέλιξη του έργου. Αυτό όμως που δεν παρατηρεί σχεδόν κανείς, που ωστόσο είναι και το πιο σημαντικό, είναι το μακιγιάζ των ηθοποιών, που έχει πολύ μεγάλη σημασία καθώς εκεί φαίνεται η ηλικία, η διάθεση και το εύρος που θέλει να δώσει ο ηθοποιός στον ρόλο που υποδύεται.
Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία πραγματεύεται το θεατρικό μακιγιάζ από την αρχαιότητα έως και σήμερα, όπου έχουν έρθει μεγάλες εξελίξεις όσον αφορά στα προϊόντα που χρησιμοποιούνται προκειμένου να δοθεί το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα.
Στη συνέχεια, πέρα από την ιστορική διαδρομή και τα προϊόντα που χρησιμοποιούνται από τότε έως και σήμερα, θα παρουσιασθούν όλες οι τεχνικές που χρησιμοποιούνται για τον σκοπό αυτό, καθώς και τα προσόντα που πρέπει να διαθέτει ο επαγγελματίας ψυμιθιολόγος προκειμένου να κάνει σωστά την εργασία που έχει επιλέξει.
