To begin with, we will refer to the historical data of thermal baths, since antiquity to modern Greece. Then, we will delve into the meaning, the derivation and the component of hot springs, the properties of water and the various areas that they are located in. Moreover, we will mention the definition and the main forms of hydrotherapy, and the resulting therapeutic properties of thermal waters. Additionally, we will analyse the skin, the skin layers and the cutaneous absorption. Finally, one of the main chapters is the one which is referred to the skin diseases.
