Recording, analysis and production of A.T.E.I.TH. metadata thesis for the institutional repository «Eureka» (Bachelor thesis)

As electronic repositories, are defined the digital databases, which enable free and without further limits access to scientific and research interest material online.
The implementation and the support of institutional repositories comes into fruition thanks to some academic institutions or research organizations. They create a large range of accessibility in research, increase the competitive relationships, create a reduction of monopoly power of magazines and relieve bodies that support them, in financial level. Open access is considered that web access, which is free, immediate, continual and isn’t limited from fees and terms of most copyright, by providing access to academic and scientific material. Thanks to the open access that is offered through institutional repositories, the communication relationships of scientific interest are increasing . In terms of registration and processing dissertations of all parts of ATEI of Thessaloniki in the institutional repository "Eureka", which is enriched by the library staff of the ATEI of Thessaloniki, has been actualized a digitization of 220 dissertations and recording their metadata, in order to broaden the knowledge of the institution's spiritual material.

| Abstract: | Ως ηλεκτρονικά αποθετήρια, ορίζουμε τις ψηφιακές βάσεις δεδομένων, οι οποίες παρέχουν τη δυνατότητα της ελεύθερης και χωρίς περεταίρω περιορισμούς πρόσβαση σε υλικό επιστημονικού και ερευνητικού ενδιαφέροντος διαδικτυακά.
Η υλοποίηση και υποστήριξη των ιδρυματικών αποθετηρίων έρχεται εις πέρας χάρη σε ορισμένους ακαδημαϊκούς οργανισμούς ή ερευνητικούς φορείς. Δημιουργούν ένα μεγάλο εύρος προσβασιμότητας στην έρευνα, αυξάνουν τις ανταγωνιστικές σχέσεις, δημιουργούν μείωση της μονοπωλιακής δύναμης των περιοδικών και ανακουφίζουν τους φορείς που τα υποστηρίζουν, σε οικονομικό επίπεδο. Ανοικτή θεωρείται η διαδικτυακή εκείνη πρόσβαση, που είναι ελεύθερη, άμεση, διαρκής και δεν περιορίζεται από τέλη και όρους των περισσότερων πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων, παρέχοντας πρόσβαση σε ακαδημαϊκό και επιστημονικό υλικό. Χάρη στην ανοικτή πρόσβαση που προσφέρεται και μέσω των ιδρυματικών καταθετηρίων, αυξάνονται οι σχέσεις επικοινωνίας επιστημονικού ενδιαφέροντος. Στο πλαίσιο της καταχώρησης και επεξεργασίας των πτυχιακών εργασιών του συνόλου των τμημάτων του Α.Τ.Ε.Ι.Θ. στο Ιδρυματικό Καταθετήριο «Εύρηκα», που εμπλουτίζεται από το προσωπικό των βιβλιοθηκών του Α.Τ.Ε.Ι.Θ., πραγματοποιήθηκε η ψηφιοποίηση 220 πτυχιακών εργασιών και η καταγραφή των μεταδεδομένων τους, με σκοπό να διευρυνθεί η γνώση του πνευματικού υλικού του ιδρύματος.
