Determination of fiber influence in the behavior of high performance concrete columns with rectangular cross section under monotonic and repeatable uniaxial compression (Bachelor thesis)

The work titled "Determination of the influence of fiber on behavior in uniaxial compaction of rectangular cross-section of reinforced concrete columns in monotonic and repetitive compression" was elaborated for the purpose of investigating i) the use of fiber reinforced concrete, ii) the type of the drawstring, iii ) of the distance between the connectors, iv) the influence of the coating and v) the charging type. For an in-depth understanding of the object to be investigated, this work was divided into two chapters. In the first, an extensive reference is made to the "world" of high performance concrete as well as to the fiber reinforced concrete, ie what is different from ordinary concrete and what are their scope of application. Additionally, the existing literature dealing with the development and use of these two concrete is presented. In the second chapter is presented (with full description) the experiment that took place in the workshop of reinforced concrete of the School of Civil Engineering TE. of the Alexandrian Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, under the constant supervision and guidance of the professors of the department Mr. Dimitrios Konstantinidis and Mr. Konstantinos Anagnostopoulos.
