Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a serious and chronic health problem that requires continuous care, both by the patient himself and by health professionals. It presents high prevalence and incidence in the population, while the cost for the patient and for the health system of the disease is quite large. Within this context, the agent compliance, the instructions in this case, provided by health professionals concerning the treatment of diabetes, appears to play an important role and can help positively to reduce manifold effects of the disease although the appropriate achieving shows several difficulties Aim: The target of this work is to assess the comparative presentation of the degree of compliance with the instructions provided in diabetics from different structures (public and private) primary health care. Methodology: For the assessment of compliance with the guidelines recommended by the primary structures, used for checking compliance to medication scale Morisky. To control ygeiinodiaititikon advice was used in self-care SDSCA questionnaire at SS and became a recording demographic data of sample persons and used the BMI values, GFR and HbA1c as indicators of compliance to treatment. Results: It seemed that a total sample of patients on average showed low levels of compliance. It also seemed that there was no statistically significant difference (p> 0,05) of compliance with the directives between the individual structures (public, private or a combination of both) visiting patients, except for one variable (p <0,05) which was related to feeding (p = 0,039). Furthermore there appeared to be statistically significant relationship (p <0,05) between multiple independent variables such as age, gender, marital status, income and other for the individual primary structures of health visiting patients. Conclusions: The overall compliance of the sample to the guidelines for the treatment of diabetes showed that ranged low. Patient compliance appeared to be independent of the type of structure (public, private or a combination of both) primary health care visiting patients and showed that demographic factors such as gender, age, income and other influence variously compliance to treatment.
