Aim This study aimed to investigate the eating behavior of students and nutrition students in particular and whether this is influenced by the field of their studies. Subjects/Methods A total of 180 undergraduate students of Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Agricultural Technology Faculty of Food Technology & Nutrition of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (37 men and 143 women) were asked to answer three questionnaires. The first questionnaire was the Eating and Appraisal Due to Emotion and Stress (EADES) (Ozier et al., 2007), which was used to evaluate overeating associated with stress and emotions. The second questionnaire was the modified Yale Food Addiction (mYFAS) (Flint et al., 2014), which was applied to measure food addiction and its symptoms. Finally, The Bratman Orthorexia test (Bratman, 2000) was used to evaluate the obsessions with health and nutrition. Results Overall 4.4% of the students had food addiction and 68.3% had orthorexia, with the prevalence of both being indifferent between sexes. Conclusions The students' field of study seems to influence their eating habits, making them largely adopt problematic behaviors despite the contrary expected.
