This project aims to create a website on the historical markets of Thessaloniki, which are still active (http://istorikesagores.hol.es/). Initially there will be a throwback on markets and then some information on the current situation and the future of these markets. The next step will be a detailed report on each one of these markets emphasizing on their history, the shops that exist and the current market conditions. Then follows the process of creating this site with the word press platform, starting with a short description of the research that preceded. Finally, the conclusions will be reported. The purpose of this site is to highlight the historical markets of Thessaloniki, which are still operating in the traditional buildings in the center of city fighting against modern shopping centers. Finally it is necessary to mention that through this thesis a piece of history of Thessaloniki starting in 1920 is revealed.
