In recent years the rapid developments in telecommunications and computers led to the development of networks and especially to the prevalence of the internet. The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link billions of devices worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web (WWW), electronic mail, newsgroups, voice over IP telephony, and peer-to-peer networks for file sharing. Businesses are now required to deal with varied and substantial challenges, whom are resulting from market globalization, intensification of competitiveness between enterprises and constant changes in business environment. To successfully meet these challenges modern companies must make investments and innovative technologies; in order to support their development, to utilize the existing infrastructure and finally to guarantee the seamless operation and cooperation with customers and suppliers. This project is an attempt to understand the possibilities offered by the internet in a business and term of e-commerce, as the use of new information technologies in businesses has nowadays become an unavoidable need. The appearance of this need is not restricted to new businesses up online, but extends to traditional businesses who want to take advantage of the privileges that the internet is giving them.en
