Abstract Oregano is well known to humanity since the ancient times. It may be cultivated in lowland, semi- mountainous and mountain areas. The quality of the Greek oregano is considered to be one of the best worldwide. It is famous for its various uses, but mostly as a spice. Oregon is eligible due to its high efficiency in essential oils. The demand in the food and pharmaceutical industry is great. In organic cultivation the treatment of enemies and diseases is becoming even harder for the producers, as their solutions are limited in comparison to those they would have in typical cultivation. Organic farming has different practices from the conventional. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze and explore the ways in which the enemies and diseases could be treated in organic cultivation.
