Abstract The modern social reality of the 21st century “digital age” has created new perspectives and challenges for education and the necessity of adopting innovative approaches in order to be able to meet the demands and imperatives of the perpetually evolving and constantly changing international environment. The reference point of innovation of the greek educational system are the experimental schools, which are the hive used for the production of innovative methods –teaching and learning practices- and their dissemination to other statewide schools. The subject of this study is to investigate the degree of effect of the innovative actions developed in an Experimental School, on the vibes and culture within the school unit, interpersonal relationships and communication between teachers and leadership, and the job satisfaction. The basic purpose of this study is to indicate the value and the importance of innovation in education. The subject is approached theoretically and empirically. For the conduct of this research an elementary experimental school is selected, the Experimental school of the University of Thessaloniki, based on the method of deliberate sampling. In view of the conclusions reached from the processing of the results, carried out using the SPSS statistical package, the original research assumptions and the international bibliography are validate.
