Allergy is an over-reaction of the body's defense system in an otherwise innocuous antigen (protein) called allergen. When the allergen enters the body, it will come into contact with the allergen specific antigens and join with them. The association will cause a series of events in the body, such as the activation of mast cells and the release of histamine. Histamine along with other substances produced will cause the symptoms of allergy. Cosmetics play an important role in our everyday lives. It is estimated that on average women use at least seven types of cosmetics each day, so it is not surprising that the reactions to these products are quite common. These problems are usually caused by the ingredients contained in cosmetics such as preservatives or fragrances that can act as antigens, causing allergic reactions. The side effects of drugs are considered to be one of the biggest problems in drug therapy, with pharmaceutical dermal diseases accounting for a large part of them. According to the WHO, a drug induced rash is defined as any harmful, unintentional morphological skin change, with or without systemic manifestations, deriving from topical or systemic administration of drugs at doses used to prevent, diagnose or treat diseases or modify physiological functions
