The profession of aesthetician has to do with daily contact with people and directly with their skins. In our work beyond skin care, we have the responsibility to observe for any damage. Obviously this is not done out of curiosity but to be able to help our client. A few times clients reveal their health issues and concerns. Some conditions are visible but there are also serious internal conditions which aren't visible. One such case is paraneoplasmatic dermatological syndrome. As beauticians we must have knowledge of these various forms naturally we can’t issue medical treatment if there is a skin problem but we can refer our client to be seen by a dermatologist who will ensure the correct treatment for that specific skin condition
