The present work was designed to present ways in which sustainable development can be developed in areas already saturated with tourism, and more specifically in the area of Kassandra in Halkidiki. It should be noted that the method of research that preceded the work was secondary. Initially we talk about the basic elements of tourism as a concept. Its different forms are distinguished and what each of them represents. The concepts of tourism supply and demand, as well as the approaches to them, will be analyzed in detail. All the implications of these approaches, both in the environment and in the economy, in society and others, will be presented. Moving forward, the case of Cassandra will be presented in particular. The geographic, as well as folklore, historical, demographic and economic elements of both Kassandra and Halkidiki in general will be analyzed. By embarking on the economic activities of Halkidiki, all three production sectors will be developed in detail. Halkidiki’s infrastructure will then be referred to the assessment of its existing resources and an assessment will be made of its bearing capacity in terms of sustainable tourism development. An extensive study of the S.W.O.T. analysis will follow where its results will be presented in detail. Finally, the prospects for the development of Kassandra and Halkidiki in general will be studied and the results of this work will be presented
