The aim of this dissertation is to approach and analyze the knowledge and views of Greek consumers on the labeling of food and the nutrition label.The survey was based on a sample of 400 consumers, residing in various prefectures in Greece. The sample was random and consists of men and women aged 18 and over. It was carried out using a questionnaire, consisting of 33 closed and open questions, aimed at investigating the behavior of each consumer when purchasing food. The statistical analysis of the data was done with an appropriate software package (SPSS) for safely deducting conclusions.
