This study attempts to examine eating attitudes in relation to dissatisfaction among university students of Thessaloniki. Research has shown that when disturbed eating attitudes coexist with dissatisfaction for the body they can lead in the occurrence of a pathological eating disorder, which is why special attention should be given to these behaviors. Most research in the literature refer to studies that have been performed with children and adolescents. The purpose of this research is the investigation of disordered eating attitudes and body dissatisfaction, as well as investigating a possible correlation between these two factors in adult students. For this purpose, the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) and the Eating Disorder Inventory-Body dissatisfaction questionnaire were completed by students aged 18-32. The results showed that a small percentage of the sample had disordered eating attitudes (15.1%) and body dissatisfaction (6.2%) and that there was a strong positive correlation of disordered eating attitudes with body dissatisfaction. Women were more concerned about food, their body image and weight, while there seemed to be no difference between the two sexes regarding body dissatisfaction. Therefore, it is concluded that the disordered eating attitudes of Thessaloniki students are limited, as is the body dissatisfaction, and there is a strong interrelationship between these two factors. The following study provides a basis for further investigation of sufferers of such behaviors by conducting more research by health scientists and health professionals to minimize their appearance and not to switch to pathological conditions
