The aim of this paper is to investigate consumers’ views on nutritional labels, as well as to draw conclusions about the latter’s validity and their effect on consumers’ habits. The survey is comprised of 1200 questionnaires, each consisting of 33 open and closed-ended questions. Participants were both male and female, between the ages of 18 and 60. The statistical analysis of the questionnaires gathered include the collection of the questionnaires, the recording of the total information included in the appropriate Microsoft Office Excel 7 software packages and the statistical packet SPSS 20- Static Package for Social Sciences Software Version 20 for Windows, graphs, the use of descriptive statistics to analyze the results, and finally the formulation of useful conclusions by way of the appropriate statistical checks
