In the present study, it is attempted to highlight the prevention and treatment of wounds created during delivery, considering that they are an important aspect of the birth for more research. The followed method begins with a bibliographic review and continues with the presentation of researches. In the first part, the changes that the woman's body receives in order to prepare for birth during pregnancy, as well as the types of childbirth, are presented. Furthermore, the types of wounds (which may be caused in childbirth) and the prevention during birth are analyzed. The treatment for these tears has also been analyzed. Then, the possible complications are reported, and finally, the obstetric care of the women who gave birth, is analyzed during her stay in the maternity ward and her smooth return to her daily routine.
