The view of the Imathia Alexandria residents to the Municipal Library (Bachelor thesis)

Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η καταγραφή των απόψεων των κατοίκων της Αλεξάνδρειας Ημαθίας για τη Δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη, έτσι ώστε να εντοπιστούν οι πληροφοριακές ανάγκες του κοινού της συμβάλλοντας στη βελτίωση της βιβλιοθήκης, αλλά και στον επαναπροσδιορισμό των στόχων της.
Αρχικά, πραγματοποιείται παρουσίαση της δημοτικής βιβλιοθήκης. Έπειτα, γίνεται λόγος για τη συνεργασία της βιβλιοθήκης με τη future library και το ίδρυμα ‘’Σταύρος Νιάρχος’’. Στη συνέχεια, αναφέρεται ο τρόπος διεξαγωγής της έρευνας, με τη συμμετοχή 90 ατόμων και τη συλλογή δεδομένων με τη μέθοδο του ερωτηματολογίου. Τα ερωτηματολόγια συμπληρώθηκαν από χρήστες και μη χρήστες της Δημοτικής Βιβλιοθήκης σε διάφορα σημεία της πόλης. Η μελέτη πραγματοποιήθηκε τους μήνες Οκτώβριο και Νοέμβριο του 2013. Για την επεξεργασία των δεδομένων έγινε χρήση του στατιστικού πακέτου IBM SPSS Statistics 20. . Αξίζει, ωστόσο, να τονιστεί πως τα συμπεράσματα που προέκυψαν συνέβαλλαν στη βελτίωση της λειτουργίας της Δημοτικής Βιβλιοθήκης.

| Abstract: | The purpose of this thesis is to record the views of Imathia Alexandria residents in the municipal library in order to identify the information needs of the public in helping to improve the library, but also to redefine its objectives. First, place the presentation of the municipal library. Then talk about the cooperation of the library with the future library and the institution '' Stavros Niarchos'. Then, describing how the survey was conducted, involving 90 people and data collection using the questionnaire method. The questionnaires completed by users and non-users of the Municipal Library in various parts of the city. The study was conducted in October and November 2013. The data have been processed using the statistical package IBM SPSS Statistics 20.. It, however, be noted that the conclusions have contributed to improve the functioning of the Municipal Library. |
