Αντιμετώπιση του εργασιακού άγχους και των συνεπειών του από τους εκπαιδευτικούς της δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης: (Master thesis)

In the present master thesis, a research analysis about the relationship between
work anxiety and a few more factors takes place. These factors are the safety coming
out from an employer’s occupational status, the years she/he serves or the marital
status. Those participated are men as well as women of secondary education in Arta
prefecture, Greece and the basic questions of this thesis are the most significant
consequences due to work anxiety for these teachers, as well as the most effective
means to cope with it. The study is also divided in 4 chapters, with each of
themconsisting of important information. Thus, in the first chapter there is an extent
record of definitions about work-related stress and work-related exhaustion, which
often related to this stress according to the international literature. In addition, there is
also an extent reference to the teachers’ perceived satisfaction from work, since low
levels of satisfaction have been implied to high levels of work-related stress. In the
second chapter, the present thesis introduces the reader to educational field, where the
work-related stress effects on teachers are shown as well as the most effective means
to deal with it. The bibliography used in this chapter includes articles from
authoritative scientific journals, references from books,and generally, a wealth of
sources that document what they refer to.In the third chapter of the thesis, there is the
case study which incorporates the answers from the questionnaires given to 100
teachers in the Prefecture of Arta, Greece, men and women. These questionnaires
concern work-related anxiety, job satisfaction, the sense of burnout stems from work,
the consequences teachers have seen on themselves and the best ways to deal with
this stress. In the same chapter, a few statistical analyses are carried out on the degree
of correlation between the above figures, while the dissertation closes with a fourth
chapter in which the overall conclusions are recorded. At the end of the thesis, there is
every source used during its completion, as well as the questionnaires given to the
participants
