Οι αντιλήψεις των εκπαιδευτικών της Πρωτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης για την επαγγελματική ικανοποίηση αναφορικά με τις συνθήκες εργασίας τους: Η περίπτωση του Νομού Λέσβου (Master thesis)

The purpose of this research was to investigate the professional satisfaction of primary school teachers about their working conditions. Quantitative research was conducted using a structured questionnaire. A sample of 120 teachers from the area of Lesvos, Lemnos and Agios Efstratios were collected for research purposes. From the analysis carried out, the majority of teachers stated that the reason for choosing the teachers' profession was either the love of the subject or the dream to always become teachers or to want to positively influence children or because they love children. In terms of professional satisfaction, teachers' professional satisfaction with recognition, innovation and freedom of initiative was found to be moderate. Yet another similar conclusion has been reached for the professional satisfaction of teachers with regard to students. Teachers, however, were satisfied with their relationship with students. Moreover, at a moderate level, teachers 'professional satisfaction with the pupils' parents was varied. A similar conclusion was reached for the professional satisfaction of teachers in relation to their colleagues, the school principal, the local community, the school climate and the working hours. In addition, it was slightly below the level of moderate satisfaction for teachers in terms of building and logistics infrastructure, financial gains, prospects for development and licensing. For the latter, the teachers were not satisfied with the fact that the deputies did not enjoy the same rights as the permanent ones. There was also a high level of satisfaction with teachers in relation to holiday-holidays. Satisfaction in relation to licensing is positively correlated with past service. Men vs. women are more satisfied. Older teachers are more satisfied and more experienced teachers are more satisfied
