Preschool care and education is generally accepted as the basis of the education pyramid, as it has been proven that quality pre-school education programs help children to develop holistically. Driving force for quality care and education is the trained educators who are constantly trained to evolve professionally in order to provide the right stimuli and integrated experiences that have an impact on the development of children. Training of the gnostic object, the love and the moral commitment to the children and their families, the search for professional prestige lead to the realization of their professional identity which push them to seek professionalism in the field of early education. The aim of this project is to point out the issue of the pedagogues professionalism, their professional identity and the need for continuous training for their integrated professional development. In order to achieve this, quantitative research was carried out with the use of a structured questionnaire. Research data shows the willingness of educators to take part in training and professional development opportunities, and the desire to cooperate with all those involved in the learning process for the best attribution of the project. Factors such as working conditions in the work place and dealing with everyday issues affect their professional identity. These are consistent with the bibliographic review . The professionalism of the pedagogues derives from their training, teamwork and collaboration for a quality education and care of young children
