Everyday, everyone interacts with a huge amount of information through mass media such as television and radio, through interpersonal communication with other people and using it internet. The creation of the internet in the mid '90s expand the creation of social media in its early days The 21st century has introduced humans to an information society where the Information is a valuable social asset.The thesis is about the digitization and record creation of musical scores. It analyses and describes the procedures, in all stages, of digitizing such material. It presents an application of the theoretically described procedures to the University of Macedonia Library’s collection of musical scores.
