eTwinning –also known as The community for schools in Europe – is one of the most active communities of education staff from all around Europe. Through it members can develop collaborations and common projects, exchange views and educational practices, communicate, and benefit in various and numerous ways. In its 14th year eTwinning has been integrated in the Greek school reality, with our country being one of the most active and dynamic participants in it. The benefits gained by the participation in eTwinning as presented in official studies and statistical data are multiple for both students and teachers. The present study investigates the views and perceptions of Greek Primary Education teachers –participants and non-participants in eTwinning- about eTwinning, and attempts to shed light on their stance concerning the practical aspects involved in participating in the program, the benefits they perceive that their students and themselves gain, and the reasons that may lead them to or deter them from participating in eTwinning projects. In order to investigate the above mentioned, a quantitative research was designed and conducted. 281 teachers of various subjects from all around Greece, who work in State Pre-schools and Primary schools – regardless their work status (permanent teachers, substitute teachers, hourly employees) participated in this research. The results of this research are in accordance with the results of pan-European researches conducted by official institutions, whereas the conclusions drawn - as far as the participation of Greek teachers in eTwinning is concerned - are interesting and lead to suggestions for further research investigation.
